Turkish language course residence is another type of residence that can be applied if one has come to Turkey with a Turkish language course visa or a learning visa, which is also a type of juristik preference visa. Therefore, if the person comes to Turkey with a touristic visa or has a touristic residence permit, there is no possibility to transfer or extend the residence by enrolling in a Turkish language course later on. In this context, the person will either come to our country with a Turkish language course visa and apply for residence by enrolling in a Turkish language course authorized by the Ministry of National Education, or a foreign person who is directed to TÖMER by the university after enrolling in a university after coming to our country with a learning visa. Students will be able to get residence permits by documenting their status.
This type of residence is granted for a maximum of two years each time. It should be noted that a residence permit for a Turkish language course can be applied for at most twice. Therefore, it is not possible to reside in Turkey for many years by applying for a Turkish language course residence.
